We would like to inform you of the course withdrawal period for the 1st semester of 2025 as follows. Students who wish to withdraw from a course must complete the withdrawal application within the designated period.
Please note that course withdrawal requires approval from the course instructor and the head of the department. Therefore, consult with the professor before submitting your application.
Course withdrawal is not the same as course cancellation (or change). Withdrawing from a course means giving up both the course credit and the tuition fee, which cannot be recovered. Please consider carefully before applying.
Relevant Regulation: Article 17 of the Course Registration Regulations
Application Period: April 28 (Mon), 2025 – May 9 (Fri), 2025 by 18:00
How to Apply: Online via the University Information System (http://wsinfo.wsu.ac.kr)
Procedure:
Student applies online → Course Instructor confirms → Department Head approves → Academic Affairs Office finalizes → Process Completed
Important Notes:
a. Course withdrawal is only possible during the designated period mentioned above.
b. You may only withdraw from courses beyond the minimum required 9 credits for the semester. (In the final semester, you must maintain the credits required for graduation.)
c. Withdrawn courses cannot be replaced with other courses, and no refund will be given for withdrawn credits.
d. Students must check the result of their withdrawal request. If the request is rejected, the student must continue attending the class. (Failure to attend may result in an "F" grade.)
e. Withdrawal may affect your scholarship eligibility and graduation requirements. Please make sure to fully understand the consequences before applying.
